This short film/trailer was crafted with the aid of various generative AI tools. It features a transformation of an audio clip from a Manly P. Hall lecture into Kanye West's voice, which serves as the narration. Below are the detailed steps involved in bringing this project to fruition. Enjoy!
In this project we converted an audio clip from a Manly P. Hall lecture and changed the voice to Kanye West's voice. 🤣 I used the Kanye voice as the narrator for the above trailer.
Experiment with at least two different machine learning models and various vocal inputs.
I was able to complete several voice conversions. The first one completed was the Manly P. Hall voice converted into Kanye West. I took that voice and used it for the narrator for a movie trailer. I will provide all the links needed. The only model that I was able to really use was the Kanye voice. I think maybe this was due to using the voice for normal speech and not singing. I also tried Rihanna which I provided in the code, Juice World and Drake. I wasn't not too happy with the results of the last three and it will take further training of the model or some serious editing of the audio file.
Reflect on the ethical implications.
The Good: There are several great benefits that are sure to appear as this SVC technology continues to improve.
Accessibility: SVC technology will give the rise to a new set of artist. These folks may not have been gifted with the talent of a great voice, however they will have a talent for creativity and they will have this technology to help them. I can also see a world where one person can voice ALL the characters in there short film using voice conversion. Almost anything is possible.
Potential for Misuse: I am not really sure what to expect from the level of misinformation that will be coming out in the next couple of years. By the time you realized that your favorite athlete or politician did NOT in fact say those mean words that you heard on X.com, you will have already shared the Fake News and deleted them from your profile.
